Snow Fall, 2007


Album Cover We had 9" of snow in Sammamish... we couldn't get home on the evening of the snow fall with all the slippery roads. What chaos!

The next day however was clear with lovely blue skies, resulting in some gorgeous winter scenes, espcially around the golf course near our home.

Even more interesting were the icicles hanging from evergreen tree leaves. The icicles formed when water melting from the snow packs on these trees freezed as it dripped in the cold temperatures. These almost looked like crystal decorations with little air bubbles trapped within. A closer look at the snow on the ground also revealed some crystal-like ice formations. Truly artistic and beautiful...

Mostly Canon stuff... specifically I use the Canon Digital Rebel XTi, along with a zoom lens, the Canon 75-300mm IS USM and a wider lens, the Canon 17-85mm IS USM as well as a few filters such as a circular polarizer and a tripod.
